While Eric was perusing “The Facebook” one day, he came across this great message:
This got us thinking…and talking…and then podcasting.
Because whether you’re married or not, being part of a family means we’re there for each other–100%.
Join us in this very first episode of LearnDoBecome Radio as we talk about the following:
- Which kinds of family relationships can benefit from this idea of “100%”
- How the Learn—>Do—>Become model works in every area of our personal development
- Simple ways we can learn to thrive in a family, even if we didn’t see those behaviors modeled in our own families
- What it looks like to put our new-found knowledge into action
- How we can create our end goal and focus on what we’re becoming each day
Once you’ve listened, please share any thoughts or ideas that came to you in the comments. We want to build a community here. We want to learn from you. This podcast is simply a tool to start the dialogue.
Note on our featured image: We were originally going to have the check dated “Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow,” but we realized that while we can’t go back and change the past, we CAN decide today to positively shape our future. That’s why it now says, “Today and Always.” Also, we ought to have written “OUR Marriage and Family.” It’s a joint project…

I thoroughly enjoyed this podcast. My next action is to schedule a weekly date with my husband. I have let the cost of a babysitter or the fact that my youngest seems to struggle when he’s left with others dictate our date night. It’s time to take it back! A wise friend once told me that a date once a week is a lot cheaper than paying for a divorce.
April Perry says
Love that specific goal, Ashley! Can’t wait to hear how it goes. I totally agree that babysitting costs are often prohibitive. Making your dates inexpensive (and creative) is helpful there, and pretty soon your kids will be able to babysit themselves, and that will be heaven. 🙂

So excited that you and Eric have launched this website! My next action is to open up to my husband about how my hopes and dreams. I have been at Power of Moms for many years, and have admired how you and Eric are so unified. I feel like that’s the next challenge for me in parenting (and life). I look forward to all the resources that you guys will share here.

I just joined the STEP Mastery program and was exploring the website when I ran across the podcasts. I almost skipped this podcast but so glad that I listened. It gave me a feel for your philosophy and I know I’m in the right place. Even though my child has moved out of the house this made me think of other relationships in my life and how I want them to be. Thank you!

After listening to about 3 of your podcasts and then reviewing one, I understand your success and it’s because you have a purpose to contribute to others and you believe it will change the world. God our creator does want us to thrive, even during hardships, He will guide us and put tools in our path to eliminate overwhelm.
A calm mind with hope is more beneficial than any amount of money. You know our needs are met and We are able to have a fondant physical emotional well-being wake me quieter mind and no we have support regardless of the circumstances.

I appreciate the fact that you’re able to get the importance of your faith out there in such a way most everybody can accept, the power of what’s possible, with hope. May God continue to gently guide you to the next areas of your mission field.
With gratitude in Him,Dianne

I decided to go back listen to all of your podcast episodes and I’m so glad I did. This first podcast brought me to tears. It has been so helpful for me to remember God’s blessings of my family and that my commitment to them is why I am doing what I do each day. This was a much needed reminder and reset for me. Thank you so much for sharing this wisdom! 💕

I stumbled across Learn.Do.Become on FB probably a month and a half ago. I’ve read and implemented many of the free resources, got my command center almost completely set up, implemented my next actions list (game changer!), and have started my freedomfiler organizing my file cabinets – about 80% done. I’ve jumped around on youtube videos, and podcasts (I’ve been listening “backwards” to your podcasts while driving to visit my daughter at college, or on the way to the office and back, or on my now streamlined errands) and have listened all the way back to August 2022. That’s when I decided to go back to the beginning and start from your first one from 2015.
I can honestly say, I’ve heard so much from you about your family and you are relatable. I’ve shed tears along your journey – hearing your parents are alive in this one especially – to now in 2022 where I feel you have had some emotional turmoil and we can hear it in your voice. I’m glad you are open to sharing all of your experiences for the better of the rest of us. I’ve shared your podcasts with my mother and 5 sisters (7 Rules I need ot replace), my daughters who are impressionable college age girls (the sneaky sorter, Tips I wish I’d had as a Teenager, 2-way journaling!) – you’re like the role-model I wanted to be for my kids while growing up, and even a co-worker of mine who wanted to know how I had ZERO emails!
I look forward to coming along on your journey through time. As many have stated, you have a purpose, and you are fulfilling your purpose successfully through each and every one of us. Thank you for sharing ALL of you.
