Today, I’m excited to share this guest podcast I recorded with my wonderful friend, Rachel! Rachel McMichael is a business strategist and coach who helps female entrepreneurs grow a thriving business by teaching them how to generate more leads, make more sales, and create a massive impact… without all the hustle.
In preparation for this interview, Rachel gathered some top questions busy entrepreneurs face. To listen to the full interview, just click “play” above! Here is a quick overview of the questions and topics we covered:
- General Organization: How do you keep everything organized, all in one place, so that when you’re working you can focus on work, but when you’re with the family you can focus on family? I share how I do this as a mother of four children, working side-by-side with Eric, using a calendar, a tiered projects list in Asana and a routines list.
- Shiny Object Syndrome (or staying focused): There are amazing opportunities all around us. It’s so easy to want to do all the things right now. I talk about the someday list–a place to put those new ideas, so that you don’t have to miss out on an opportunity, but you don’t have to act on it all at once.
- Too much to do and not enough time: What do you do when you feel like you don’t have enough time planned for certain tasks, and you end up needing to leave things half done? Breaking down a project into microbursts can be a powerful way to bookmark a project.
- How to do it all: How do you keep your home focused, tidy, and peaceful while still working hard and working well? Getting the family on board with decluttering and then getting good routines in place make a huge difference here. Another principle that has shaped our family is viewing home-care as a relationship-building opportunity.
