While on a team-building/humanitarian trip, we asked ourselves what was helping our STEPpers be successful and pulled out a phone to record the discussion. Listen in today as our team discusses two principles to help you ditch the overwhelm: immersion and support. It’s amazing to watch what’s happening with our community members as they apply these steps!
Press “play” above to listen in and/or read through the main points below!
1:23 – Principle #1: Immerse Yourself
We’ve discovered that people from our community who are most successful with the STEP program are the ones who jump right in with both feet and immerse themselves in the process, rather than just dipping their toes in.
Action Step: Ask yourself, “What concept do I want to better understand, or what commitment do I want to make so I can see a real improvement in my life?
Maybe it’s something personal like your health, something to do with your family or business, or your next life choice. Identify that top priority and JUMP RIGHT IN!
When we were creating LearnDoBecome, I had a lot of fears. These fears held me back, driving me to build the business in such a way that I could pull out quickly if necessary. I learned from the book Extreme Ownership the concept of being “decisively engaged.” This means “once you’re in, you’re all in!” As I’ve shifted my mindset to reflect that principle, we’ve built a beautiful community that we love. When you are actually immersed, engaged, devoted, and dedicated, it’s amazing to see what happens!
7:21 – Principle #2: Find Support
Never underestimate the value of having a support system. Whenever I’ve had challenges that felt huge, it was typically because I didn’t discuss them with anyone, and I carried them alone. Asking for help made challenges easier to handle.
On a professional level, we are only able to do what we do here at LearnDoBecome because of the support of our team and of each of you in our LearnDoBecome community.
When you can actually articulate what the challenge is, then you have somewhere to start.

Action Step: Find support! It helps so much to know that you’re not alone. When you can find some trusted friends or an accountability partner, you will succeed.
We want you to be able to immerse yourself in the ideas of getting organized, and we want you to reach out and rely on a support system to keep going. If you’re a part of our STEP Mastery program, joining our Facebook group is an excellent resource for both immersion and support, and we highly suggest you submit a join request!
We hope this helps as you continue on your journey out of the overwhelm. Thank you for being a part of this LearnDoBecome community!

It’s a nice thought that I would have time to immerse myself into putting together my STEP Command Central, but I am too overwhelmed with a backlog of work that needs to be caught up. Looking forward to it though. I listen to podcasts while in the car, and have done a few small things to start, but we run a business and I am a one-woman office show. If I could only stop time for a few days to set it up – ha ha.

Hi, Linda! It sounds like you’re on your way! The thought of immersing yourself in the program is as much a mental thing as it is a time thing. Being willing and able to immerse yourself in the thoughts and actions of learning the program can be just as powerful as dedicating large blocks of time. We invite you to check out the Command Central in an Hour video that can be found in the Bonuses section of your program. This will help you get a simple system up and running quickly! Then you can move forward maintaining the incoming items as you continue through the program. We’re so excited for you!

ohhhhh!!! So lovely a podcast!!!!! Thank you. I bought the program a long time ago and never did it and I am overwhelmed and you’ve inspired me that I will help myself to jump in fast or slow ~ I know it will help me so!
And I would like an accountability partner!
Thank you!!!!

Thanks for your kind words, Shira! We’re so excited to have you jump into the program. It will be well worth your time! Having an accountability partner can be so helpful as you move through the modules. If you’re a Mastery member, check your account to see if you have a Self-Study program to gift to a friend. Be sure as well to pop into the Facebook group. The members there are so supportive and helpful! Feel free to reach out to our team if you have any questions, email(at)learndobecome(dot)com. We’re thrilled to have you with us and we look forward to hearing your success stories!

I’ve spent years delving into self-help books, tips, etc and still drowning in piles. Your introduction to a command center has helped me more than anything to actually get something done about it. I’m not fully with you but I’m on my way!

Cathy, thanks for being with us! Take it one step at a time and you’ll get there. 🙂 Stay close to our website and podcast as we offer some great tips there. We look forward to supporting you in our STEP program when the time is right. Keep up the good work!!

I’m starting to get results… I took some intermediary “after” photos today. Because of LDB, I am building towards success; I am “unfreezing,” slowly, but that granite iceberg inside me is starting to melt. I have HOPE; YOU have given me HOPE. I am SUPER excited because of a plan I have for a Command Central… In a closet, like one of your recent “after” photos showed… it appeals to my Honey West side (a TV show with a female “spy” woman back in the early ’60’s!), that is clever and likes surprises…even “hidden” things! I can’t wait to make it a reality! THANK YOU SO MUCH LDB founders and TEAM!

Sandra, this is so exciting! Taking after photos means you’re making progress. We’re so proud of you! Keep up the good work!!
