I hope you are having a wonderful week so far, and I just wanted to take a moment to share something with you that I hope you will see as a beautiful gift.
(I’ll start with a quick story.)
Back in 2004, I read “How to Become CEO” by Jeffrey J. Fox.
I didn’t tell anyone I was reading that book–because I was a stay-at-home mom in my mid-20s, and clearly I wasn’t going to become a CEO.
But I liked how I felt when I read the book. I wanted to become better. I wanted to be sharp. I wanted to use my mind well, and I wanted to serve others with my skills.
I even created an executive summary to inspire me and put it in my 3-ring “Knowledge Binder” (pre-Evernote!).
Fast-forward 12 years, and now I am a CEO. (Ahh! That’s the first time I’ve ever written that.) But I had to overcome a really big problem.I still felt like that twenty-something mom who needed to hide.
What did I really have to offer? Who was I to think I could put myself out there in a big way? Why risk totally embarrassing myself by attempting to create a legitimate business that would actually support my family?
Maybe it doesn’t seem like that big of a deal when you read someone else’s fears, but my goodness, it was stressful.
So whether you’re a business owner, a budding entrepreneur, a dedicated employee, or a deliberate stay-at-home mom, I want to introduce you to a friend and mentor of mine who has made a HUGE impact on my life and helped me to finally recognize the CEO potential inside me. His name is Todd Herman.
Eric signed up for Todd’s free video series last December, and he said, “Hey, April, I think you would really like these.”
I had a lot going on at the time (as I’m sure you do right now!), and so I mentally added it to my “Someday” list.
But the more videos Eric watched, the more he knew I would love them, and so he kept telling me about how great they were:
“Todd talks about goal-setting in a 90-day framework. He has some great facts about why we need to avoid context-switching. He’s a super sharp guy. You need to watch these videos.”
So I did.
I (somewhat reluctantly) watched the videos. And I was HOOKED.
Todd’s original videos were only up for a limited time, but he has just released a brand new version TODAY, and I just knew you would want to know about them.
I know you have a lot going on. We all do. But if you know you have unlocked potential inside you, these videos are absolutely worth watching. Listen while you commute, do the dishes, walk the dog, or soak in the tub. You’ll be glad you did. 🙂
