We have an incredibly simple idea to share today that can help get your family on board when it comes to cleaning the house and getting organized. (Because we know how it feels to be the “only one” who cares…)
This idea came from Joy Baldoz, one of the contagiously-inspiring winners of our recent video contest, and in this three-minute video (that you’ll definitely want to watch!) she shares how she got her family to help her make this dramatic transformation:
Here are three of her secrets:
#1: She didn’t say, “Everyone get up and start cleaning.” She presented the theme of “Embracing Change.” Her family could stand behind that.
#2: She held a family meeting and presented a GIFT to her family (an actual box, decorated, with a bow), introducing the steps they were going to follow in order to achieve that change they were seeking. (In this case, it was our program.)
#3: She changed her language. Instead of saying, “Ugh. When will we ever get this storage room in order?” (and then going and eating chips), she said, “Let’s clear out the storage room this month and make it a functional guest room.”
Whether you’re in our Steps to Everyday Productivity program or not, these are three things ALL of us can do. (Watch her 3-min video below!)
That video made you smile, right? And if, by chance, you’re ready to “embrace change” and learn four simple steps to help you stop drowning in piles and gain mental clarity, click here or on the image below to join our free class!
